Just a few wedding shots

The hurricane lantern exploded because the candle was too close to the glass. Notice the BIG BLACK trash can? The ushers and others did a great job cleaning up the mess. Thanks, guys!

Happy Birthday Jonathan!

So...another birthday calls for another post?

You guys have inspired me. I've enjoyed catching up with everyone's goings on so much, I thought I'd try a catch-up session myself. Who knows, maybe I'll get back on the bandwagon.

Tuesday was Jonathan's birthday, so Chris (my darling brother) took us out to dinner on Tuesday and I took Jonathan out on Wednesday. I like birthday weeks...less cooking and cleaning. Yippee!

We've been going to a different church since August-ish, and are loving it. It's hard to find a "home" away from home, but for being away from home - this is a certainly a pleasant experience.

In August I changed jobs and started working for IBM. I absolutely love it. The people I work with are fantastic. It is a clean, positive environment and it is a job I look forward to doing.

We've traveled quite a bit since the last post. We've been back to Tulsa 4 times, to Canada twice, to Las Vegas, to Philadelphia, and to Sedona. Every trip was wonderful!

My ol' roomie (Alicia) is getting married!!!! Woohooo! She's getting a good guy (Gavin), and he's getting a good girl, so I couldn't be happier. I love them both and wish them all the happiness life has to offer.

A Phoenix friend, Amanda, was married in December. I was honored to be in her wedding - what fun we had!

We've had several Tulsa friends come out to visit, and that is always a blast. I always look forward to visitors from Tulsa. Hint-hint!

I have great ambitions to do a "year in photos" blog in the near future. In reading through my past posts, I also realized I had great ambitions to post wedding photos and photos of the house...and it looks like we're all still waiting on those too, so we'll see how far I get. I just wanted you to know that I DO HAVE GREAT AMBITIONS!

I hope everyone is doing well...and enjoying life.

Much Love and Great Ambitions!

Happy BIRTHDAY to ADINA and me!

I have celebrated my birthday (which was yesterday, 22nd) for 5 days now, so I think it is time to move on and face reality again Being married put a whole new twist on the birthday celebrating. (come on you guys...get your minds out of the gutter! ) I came home Friday night to two (2) dozen beautiful roses and a steak dinner cooked by my wonderful husband...and cheesecake...Yes, Lord!! Saturday, we took it easy in the "hot pool." and then hit Sam's to pick up an area rug that I had admired earlier in the week. Yesterday, he had dinner ready AGAIN when I got home. He is just too good to me. My office p-p-p-partners (ha!) took me out to lunch yesterday, and my Phoenix gals took me out today. I have lived it up this birthday!

Mom and Chris will be heading to Phoenix Thursday afternoon/evening, and I am totally looking forward to being with the family. Mom gets to stay until the 4th, and Chris is here to stay permanently...well, as permanently as any of us are in Phoenix! Woohoo!

Jonathan and I are getting excited about planning our trip to Canada in August to visit his family. It will be the first time we've seen them since the wedding, so we're looking forward to that.

Memorial Day weekend brings mixed emotions this year. This will be the first year in many (10 years maybe?) that our group from my home church doesn't go to Birch Lake for the annual camping trip. With time comes change. Some changes are good, and others make you wish that it, change, wasn't necessary. Oh well. I'm sure that I, along with everyone else, will enjoy whatever is in store for the holiday weekend...even if it is a change.

Much Love and Change!

Travel is my game...

Well, we got back to Phoenix from Tulsa on Tuesday morning, and we are so glad to be back at our house with our backyard and our bed and our kitchen and our "hot-pool"!! Now, if I could just move all of our things back to Tulsa, or if I could move my church and church family out to Phoenix, I'd have to check the ground...because, surely, I'd be walking on streets of gold and swimming in a crystal sea.

Chris' graduation was great. There were about 30 people who made the journey from Dallas and Phoenix and Sand Springs and Tulsa. Yes, he's loved Only a week and a half until he will be a fellow Phoenician! Woohoo!!

We got our wedding photos this weekend, so I'll try to remember to post some photos from home. (the internet at work is sooooo slow...I'd swear we are on dial up!)

Crystal looks so cute with her little baby belly! She's going to be one of those women who look great all they way up to delivery. Way to go, Crys! You're an inspiration to us all...Lol! We were able to hang out a bit Sunday night after church with the whole Switzer clan. I think Jonathan was a little surprised at how candidly we all communicate with (harass) one another. I suppose that's what happens after 23 years of togetherness. I love you guys!

Well, the end of the work day is at hand, so I'll hop off of here and leave you all to keep browsing xangaland.

Much Love and Traveling!

Roses?!?! - You shouldn't have...but I'm soooo glad you did ;-)

What a wonderful week we've had! This past Saturday we spent a chunk of Target gift cards on a propane grill for the patio, and we've partaken from the grill every day since. It was a wonderful gift...THANK YOU to all you gift card givers We are just about to get everything put away in the new house. (I love it!!) We still need to hang pictures, but other than that...it is done.

Easter was wonderful. We went to Bro. Garrett's drama Sunday afternoon, and it was phenomenal. I can't imagine how much work went into that...and it retold the story so well of our Savior being crucified...and then rising again!! Thank you, Jesus!

Wednesday I had the most beautiful arrangement of roses waiting for me when I got home. Jonathan is so good to me! I'm so thankful God saved him for me...and me for him He was definitely worth waiting for.

My dear friend Amanda is flying all the way from Tulsa to Phoenix RIGHT NOW to spend the weekend with us. I CAN'T WAIT to see her!!

HAPPY 22ND BIRTHDAY, CHRIS!! I adore you, and love having you for my brother!

Much Love and Grills & Roses!

Friendly reminder to contact me about getting me copies of wedding photos if you have any (I'll pay!!)
